Must haves:

• Strong Business Analyst experience with traditional requirements gathering, documentation, and analysis
• Experience building and maintaining requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlogs
• Ability to take loosely defined business needs and turn them into structured, actionable requirements
• Highly organized, structured, and detail-oriented; able to connect dots across processes, requirements, and dependencies
• Naturally inquisitive and willing to challenge assumptions, identify gaps, and ask follow-up questions rather than simply documenting what is provided
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working directly with business SMEs and Product Owners
• Comfortable operating in an environment where processes and requirements are not yet well defined
• Personable communicator who can build relationships and get stakeholders to make time, share information, and work through requirements
• Comfortable working in an Agile/product environment

Nice to haves:

• Salesforce experience
• Experience supporting Sales and/or Marketing technology
• HubSpot experience
• Exposure to AI capabilities, Microsoft agents, or other enterprise AI tools
• Power BI experience/exposure
• LMS platform experience
• Experience helping establish a new product team or creating a backlog from the ground up

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Business Analyst to help build the foundation for a newly forming product team within Sales and Marketing. The team has high-level capabilities identified, but needs someone to help define detailed requirements and build out the product backlog.

Working closely with the Product Owner and business SMEs, the BA will gather requirements, lead stakeholder discussions, identify gaps and dependencies, and translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and an actionable backlog .

The ideal candidate is organized, inquisitive, and comfortable with ambiguity . They should be able to ask strong follow-up questions, bring structure to early-stage ideas, and proactively drive requirements forward.

The environment includes Salesforce, HubSpot, LMS platforms, Microsoft/AI capabilities, and Power BI , but direct experience with these technologies or Sales/Marketing is not required.
